The song addresses some of the reasons people have for leaving—feeling unsafe, feeling under strain—with reminders of what makes Trinidad and Tobago a “blessed island” and a “party nation.” Indeed, Trinidad is a beautiful nation, and everywhere you go, there are unsavory agents in society.
